Apartments for rent de Oude Duin Terschelling HoornOur house, previously a farmhouse, was built in 1904 and was completely renovated in 2006. The original exterior has been remained as much as possible. For the interior, we have chosen for homely warmth and comfort. The farmhouse is situated at the edge of the old village of Hoorn and has Nature Resort 'De Koegelwieck' and its forest, dune and beach within a few minutes walk. In characteristic and peaceful Hoorn you will find i.e. a shop and several bars/restaurants. De Oude DuinWith ′De Oude Duin′ a long cherished desire of ours has been realized. After running bed&breakfast ′Op Rozendaal′ near the city of Arnhem for several years, we have settled down at Terschelling in 2006. We'd like to show our hospitality by offering a twin bedded apartment and one apartment for 8. The twin bedded apartment is called ′Sophie′, after the previous owner of the farm, who spent her whole life here. By using her name, her memory will always remain. The apartment for 8 is called 'De Oude Duin', which translates as ′The Old Dune′, after the dune that used to be here and was digged down. The GardenOur garden is created with natural materials. We have planted up our garden with the vegetation belonging to the island. In the centre, we have created a new dune, as an id to the old dune. We feel privileged to live at Terschelling, as do the other inhabitants. Therefore, we'd like you to join in and share this feeling by experiencing the many pleasures the island offers. |
